9-1-1

On Sat Luke saw a fire truck go by and asked "Where is the fire truck going?" I took this opportunity to explain to him about calling 9-1-1 in case of an emergency and what an emergency is. I told him that the fire fighters and police officers are really busy catching bad guys so we only call when we have a real emergency. Luke seemed to absorb it very well and I thought "Wow, I am an awesome Mom for teaching my kid about 9-1-1 so well"....snaps for me!

Last night the power went out for scheduled maintenance and it didn't come back on till almost 9:30am. So we had no power for almost 12 hours. When Luke woke up and realized that he couldn't watch t.v. he said "Lets call 9-1-1. This is an emergency!"....*snaps have been taken back***
